MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – On April 16, at approximately 2:55 pm, Marshfield Fire Department responded to a call regarding a grass fire at 303 East Heritage Drive, Marshfield, WI.
The occupant reported visible fire and smoke emanating from a pile of garbage in the front yard upon their arrival. Fortunately, the flames were swiftly extinguished within the first five minutes of their arrival, preventing any structural damage to the residence or surrounding structures.
Thankfully, there were no reported injuries. Despite windy conditions exacerbating the situation, the fire was contained to the original pile of garbage, sparing the property from further damage. Authorities have determined the cause of the fire to be accidental.
