MMCCU Staff Volunteer and Donate to Cattails Place in Marshfield

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – On June 19, Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) staff members dedicated their time to volunteer at Cattails Place and presented a generous $1,000 donation to support the facility. This initiative embodies the credit union philosophy of giving back to the community.

MMCCU President David Murphy expressed his enthusiasm for the day’s activites, stating, “Our involvement with Cattails Place is a testament to our commitment to supporting the well-being of our community members, especially those who are undergoing challenging times. We are proud to contribute to a cause that provides essential support and care for cancer patients.”

Cattails Place, now welcoming patients, offers a supportive environment for patients and their caregivers who travel to Marshfield for cancer treatment. Designed for patients over 18, Cattails Place provides a home-away-from-home with the following amenities:

• 12 suites and 10 bedrooms with private bathrooms
• Fully-equipped kitchen and coffee bar
• Living room, patio, and library access
• Free on-site laundry facilities
• Handicap accessible areas with an elevator
• Internet access (Wi-Fi)
• On-site staff and volunteers to assist guests

Cattails Place is located within walking distance of Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, offering convenient access to cancer treatments. For those preferring to drive, valet services are available at the main entrance.

Cattails Place also features on-site support groups that meet regularly to help patients through their cancer journey. The facility operates thanks to the generous support of donors and volunteers. Contributions can be made through monetary gifts or by purchasing items from the Target charity registry.
