NECEDAH, WI (OnFocus) – The 11th Annual Real Freedom Races will take place on Saturday, August 5 at 901 N Harvey Street in Necedah, WI, as participants come together to raise awareness and funds to combat human trafficking. This year’s event promises a day of family fun, featuring a variety of race options, virtual participation, exciting activities, and a chance to support worthy anti-trafficking organizations.
The Real Freedom Races is a highly anticipated event in Necedah, known for its flat, road course that attracts runners and walkers of all skill levels. Participants can choose from a 5k run/walk, 10k run/walk, and a half marathon. Additionally, this year marks the introduction of the virtual marathon, providing an opportunity for long-distance freedom fighters to embark on their personal mission.
Registering for the races by July 5th guarantees participants a commemorative T-shirt, along with awards and cool SWAG. All race finishers will receive mission medals and additional SWAG. Virtual options are available for individuals who cannot physically attend the event but still wish to show their support.
Beyond the races, the Real Freedom Races event offers an array of activities to make it a memorable experience for attendees. The Necedah Lions Club will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast from 8am to 11am, providing a delicious start to the day. The Pig Pen LLC BBQ Food Truck will also be present, offering savory delights from 11am until supplies last. Families can enjoy the Craft and Vendor Fair from 9am to 3pm, showcasing a wide variety of local vendors and artisans. Exciting raffle prizes, including Harley Davidson items, Packers football memorabilia, and Admiral hockey tickets, will be up for grabs from 9am to 3pm.
The Real Freedom Races are not only a celebration of physical endurance but also a powerful initiative to support the fight against human trafficking. All proceeds raised from the event will go directly to anti-trafficking organizations, with this year’s support directed towards The Zeteo Community of the Madison area, The Inner Beauty Center of Milwaukee, and Project Rescue, an international organization dedicated to freedom.
