MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – On Thursday, July 27, 2023 at approximately 12:51am the Marshfield Police Department along with the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department responded to a one-vehicle crash in the 200 block of E. Veterans Pkwy. Officers and paramedics arrived and found a single person inside the car with critical injuries.
The driver was identified as Abraham Drinka, (18) of Neillsville. Paramedics extracted Drinka and transported him to the Marshfield Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation revealed the crash originated on S. Cedar Ave. The vehicle struck an embankment and came to rest on Veterans Pkwy. The crash is still under investigation but excessive speed and alcohol are believed to be factors for the crash. The Marshfield Police Department wishes to express our deepest condolences to the Drinka family during this difficult time.
