SPORTSDESK – The quick spring sports snow season of 2018 comes to an end this week and the tournament pairings have been announced.
In Division 1, the Marshfield Tigers have been awarded a 2-seed and will play the winner of #7 Eau Claire North and #10 Wausau West on Friday, May 25th at Marshfield Fairgrounds Park. The Tigers beat West back on April 24th in Wausau, 7-3.
They will play West again in Marshfield on May 17th, first pitch set for 4:30pm. Marshfield finished firmly in second place in Wisconsin Valley Conference play with a 9-2 record. Both loses came at the hands of 1-seed SPASH Panthers. 
Marshfield could get a third chance at SPASH in the Sectional Finals on Thursday, May 31st if both teams win their first two tournament games. The game would be played in Stevens Point.
In Division 4, the Spencer Rockets are the 4-seed in Sectional 3. The Rockets lead the Cloverbelt East with a 9-1 mark, will play a home contest against 5-seed Bangor Blackhawks on Wednesday, May 23rd at 5pm. 
The Blackhawks, who hail from the Scenic Bluffs conference, have a 8-5 overall record and sit in 3rd place in confernece behind Cashton. Bangor finishes their regular season against Cashton on May 17th. The Rockets conclude their season on May 18th at home against Gilman.
