Abbotsford(OnFocus) – The Abbotsford Falcons are an eager bunch of football players looking to get back onto the field this season, looking to bounch back after navigating through the pandemic in 2020. The season began with the Falcons quarantining, and combined with injuries, Abbotsford turned in an uncharacteristic 2-3 season.
This year, Head Coach Jacob Knapmiller has a team that looks to be solid on both sides of the ball, and a return to the playoffs in 2021 is a big goal. We caught up with Knapmiller for our OnFocus Season Preview to get an inside look at the Falcons this season.

Keys to your success on offense

We need to stay healthy and we will be very good.  Our passing game will need to keep continuing to improve from what we saw in our scrimmage

Keys to your success on defense

Tackling and running to ball together will be the key for us.

Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed?

The booster club, Dave Keech in the booth (voice of the Falcons), the groundskeepers and everyone who helped in weight room and speed stuff.  Joe Aguilera and Ean Rau played huge roles in our summer camps.

What is Abbotsford football all about? What does it mean to be a member of the Abbotsford Falcon football program?

Abbotsford Football I would hope to our players would mean something that you identify as, rather than a part of.  We have lots of players that come back just to continue to be a part of something bigger than themselves.
