2021 Gilman Pirates Football Season Preview

Gilman(OnFocus) – The Gilman Pirates are ready to hit the field for 8-Man Football, and veteran Head Coach Robin Rosemeyer has the Pirates primed to succeed. Gilman returns a strong nucleus, including Conference Defensive Player of the Year Julian Krizan.

Offense:  key returning players 

Return 7 players that started games on offense last year.  QB – Julian Krizan, RB – Grady Kroeplin, TE’s – Bryson Keepers and Branden Ustianowski, Guards – Bryce Chovan and Braeden Person, Center – Zack Marion

Defense: key returning players 

Return 6 players that started games last year defensively.  MLB – Julian Krizan (conference defensive player of the year), OLB’s – Grady Kroeplin and Bryson Keepers, Noseguard – Braeden Person, End – Zack Marion, DB – Branden Ustianowski

Conference outlook 

Look to compete for the conference championship.

Have several playmakers on offense that allow us to run and pass the ball effectively.

Not allow big plays – which can happen often in 8 man football.  Be a good tackling team.  Work together.
