Conference outlook
This will be the 3rd year we play in our conference with Newman Catholic, Greenwood, Marion/Tigerton, Tri-County, and Bowler/Gresham.
Keys to your success on offense
Our success is driven by what we do upfront on the line. We have the biggest line we have had in quite some time. However, many of our linemen do not have much varsity experience. Getting our line up to speed has been a focus in our early practices. On the perimeter, we have some speed and returning players who have contributed in the past. We are looking for these guys, paired with some of our younger players, to carry the load for us this season.
Keys to your success on defense
On defense we want our guys to fly all over the field and make plays. We want them to be aggressive and be physical with other teams. Our goal is to set the tone on the defensive end and give our offense as many opportunities as we can.
Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed?
There are so many people that make Port Football what it is today. It all starts with our donors. We have a great support system from our donors, who graciously donated $20,000 to our program this season. We cannot thank them enough for the support they continually give us. Also, our fanbase and community support us at every single game we play. It means so much to the players when they see fans come all over the state to support them.

What is Port Edwards football all about? What does it mean to be a member of the Port Edwards football program?
If I had to describe Port Football in one word, it would be family. We want our guys to be together as much as possible building relationships and camaraderie in different aspects of their life. Whether it is in the community volunteering, in the weight room during the summer, or on the field, we want our guys to make an impact on the world around them. Another word we focus on is accountability. We hold our athletes to a high standard on and off the field. We continually tell the players that they will use a lot of what they learn playing football, in their real-life outside of high school. If we can get them to buy into these ideals now as young men, they should grow up to be great citizens, husbands, and fathers in the future. Lastly, many of our past student-athletes are always asking to come back and check in on the program and see how things are going. We want our players to feel welcome at any time and enjoy being part of our program, even after they graduate.
