2023 Columbus Catholic Dons Boys Soccer Season Preview
Coaching staff:
Jeff Edwards – Head Coach
   Eric Olson – Assistant Coach
Ryan Dieringer – Assistant Coach
Key returners:
Alex Edwards – senior
    Cy Becker – senior
Charlie Moore -senior
Lucas Kreklau – senior
Key newcomers:
Mason Edwards – sophomore
Ben Weiland – freshman
Cole Wallace – freshman
Conference outlook:
The team should be able to compete for the conference championship once again. after winning it last season.
Keys to your success this season:
Our senior leadership is the biggest key to the season.  We have a number of seniors back this year and their mentorship of the younger players will determine how far we can go in the playoffs.

Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed? 

Joe Konieczny, our athletic director, does all of our scheduling for opponents, referees, and bus travel.  This takes a tremendous amount of work off of my plate.
    Derek Dieringer for providing photos of the team throughout the season.  Lucky Shot Media, which he owns, is a great help to the program.

Coach’s comments: anything else you’d like to share?

I am really looking forward to this season.  We have an outstanding team returning.  This is my oldest son’s senior year, so I am going to make sure I slow down and appreciate the season and not get caught up in small things.  The whole senior class is a great group of  student-athletes, that I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching over the years.
