Conference outlook:
The Western Cloverbelt Conference is always a strong conference.  Every year our goal is to be in the “top half” of the conference.  Both Chippewa Falls McDonnell and Bloomer are coming off of seasons that ended at the State Tournament and Eau Claire Regis is another strong team that will be in the mix.
Keys to your success this season:
A major key to our success this year is taking care of our side of the net and controlling the controllables.  If we can limit our errors and mistakes that really helps in that “taking care of our side of the net” while we try to play fundamentally sharp.  One of the major areas of emphasis this season is controlling our mental approach and trying to stay positive in the moment so our side of the net has “good vibes only”.  We will make mistakes and have bad plays, but if we can move on to the next point without getting caught up in the negative, we can keep momentum on our side of the net and get back to making positive plays.  Another major key for our season will be staying healthy.  Last season we had 2 captains tear their ACLs so their loss on the court and in the team huddle was huge.  We have a talented group of young ladies who are excited for the season and looking forward to finding out what they can achieve together.

Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed?

Obviously, there are many people who help to make our program successful.  We have an active youth volleyball program that many parents are involved with that is led and organized by Patty Marten.  She does a great job helping promote our program and connect our high school volleyball players to the ones who are just starting their careers on the court.  Our Administration at Fall Creek is very supportive of our sports programs.  Our parents are very helpful in organizing team dinners and other team building events.  Really, in a small town like Fall Creek, the whole community helps our program to succeed.
Coach’s comments: anything else you’d like to share?

We are excited for the journey to begin.  I have a great group of girls to work with–some of them are varsity veterans and some are varsity newcomers, but the dynamic of the team is a positive one and I am looking forward to the season and my time in the gym with the girls!  We will look to keep improving throughout the season and hope to be playing our best volleyball when the playoffs arrive in October!
