Conference outlook:
I think we have really good chance to win our third consecutive conference championship. With 6 returning starters on offense and 8 on defense, we bring back a lot of experience. I feel our athleticism at our skilled positions is going to be hard for anyone in the conference to match up with, and we will be more experienced up front this year. Defensively, we lost our 2 leading tacklers at the linebacker position, but we have almost all the rest of the defense back, so I expect a couple of guys to step up and fill those rolls and make us a very good defense.
Keys to your success this season:
We are not as deep as I would like to be in some positions, so we need to stay healthy.
Gavin Obremski(QB) and Keagan Jirschele(WR) are 2 of the best players in the state at their positions, if we can keep the ball in there hands and create some space for them we will be very hard to slow down on offense. I expect a good year from Wyatt Harris running the ball to keep the defense honest.
We basically have 4 new linebackers this season (3 are switching positions, 1 is new to varsity), how fast they adjust and learn will determine our success on defense.
