Conference outlook:

We hope to be in the top 3 teams in our conference. We will continue to focus on what we need to improve on, the success of our team relies heavily on small details, which we emphasize each day.

Keys to your success this season:

We will rely on our solid defense and passing to compete with all of our opponents. We will also run a balanced offense and when our hitters get an opportunity, they will need to capitalize on it.

Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed?

Our parents provide endless support from transportation to and from practice, meals, volunteer their time to help in any way needed, and show up to root on their kids and the teams. Everyone is willing to pitch in and we are lucky to have so much support.

My assistant, Jess, and my JV coach, Katie, are tremendously instrumental in the success of our volleyball program. They work tirelessly helping with the entire process, and are quick to fill in and meet a need whenever they identify one. A successful season is a group effort, and I am lucky to have an incredible staff that works seamlessly together already.

Our athletic trainer Jim Nesbit is also a key piece of our Hatchet community who takes excellent care of our athletes. Our Athletic Director, Ryan Flynn for all his support and Michelle Schiltz our Athletic Secretary for her organization with all the athletes and paperwork. They put so much time and work into making sure everything runs smoothly and are phenomenal!

Coach’s comments: anything else you’d like to share?

I am looking forward to seeing what our girls accomplish this season. It is unique in the fact that we have certain returning athletes playing new roles and others who are continuing in the same roles, while we have a few newcomers already making an impact. Each athlete is eager to fill in where the team needs them. They understand it takes a team effort to succeed and each of these girls work extremely hard each day to make each other better.
