OnFocus Season Preview
Coaching staff:
Michelle Richards- Varsity Coach
Melissa Ryan- Assistant/JV Coach
Key returners:
Aubrey Beyer and Carly Huelskamp return as our Senior pitcher/catcher duo. They have been playing together for years, and this is their last season out there together.
Grace Pastorius and Matanna DePuydt return as key infielders.
Key newcomers:
Natalie Kohn, Kami Neff, Taytum Mullins are coming in as Freshmen, but we will need their athleticism as pitchers and outfielders.
Conference outlook:
We have some powerful pitchers and strong teams in our conference that have performed at a high level the last few years. Our goal is to play competitive games against all conference teams.
Keys to your success this season:
Our team needs to come together as one. We have a fairly big split between Freshmen and Seniors, and they need to learn each other’s strengths and build on those to come together as a team. We need to be a quick and clean team that takes advantage of getting the outs when we can.
Coach’s comments: anything else you’d like to share?
We have many new players entering the scene this year. This includes a group of seniors playing Varsity for their first season. I am excited to see a lot of growth this season as everyone finds their role and confidence out on the field.
