TOWN OF TEXAS, WI (OnFocus) – The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office responded to an electronic bicycle (e-bike) crash at approximately 5:42 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The crash occurred near the intersection of County Highway WW and Green Valley Road in the Town of Texas.
The sole rider, a 54-year-old woman, was the only person involved in the crash. Medivac Air transported her to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries later that same day.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Town of Texas first responders, Wausau Fire/EMS, and Medivac Air.
