OnFocus: What are your favorite subjects/classes and why?
Gay: I enjoy business classes because I can relate to and enjoy the content and I
enjoy gym class because it’s gym.
OnFocus: What are your hobbies?
Gay: Hunting, swimming and volleyball.
OnFocus: Who is/was your first favorite teacher and why?
Gay: Chad Eichstadt because he is really chill and relates with the students.
OnFocus: What is the most unusual food you have eaten?
Gay: Probably something like pickled herring.
OnFocus: What is your favorite music to listen to?
Gay: Older Country and Classic Rock
OnFocus: What are your plans after high school?
Gay: Get into real estate investing and run a business.
OnFocus: If they made a movie about you, and your life, what would it be called?
Gay: “Success Beyond the Game”
OnFocus: What sports do you play?
Gay: Football, basketball and Track
OnFocus: Which teammate would you not want to be stranded with on a deserted
island?
Gay: Austin Yeager
OnFocus: What are some memorable moments you have had as an athlete?
Gay: Winning the Football State Championship and hitting a shot from completely behind the backboard to help win the championship game in the “Dells Basketball Tournament.”
OnFocus: Who are your favorite athletes and/or teams?
Gay: Larry Bird because he was just so fun to watch and one of the greatest of all time.
OnFocus: What do you enjoy most about competing in front of family, friends and fans?
Gay: Being able to make my friends and family proud of my team and I.
OnFocus: Do you have a funny or unusual moment(s) you have experienced in
sports?
Gay: Convincing our entire football team’s coaching staff that one of our athletes got in trouble for pooping in the school’s urinals.
OnFocus: What’s the best thing about being a student-athlete at Owen-Withee?
Gay: Everyone is very supportive and we always have alumni and community
members who contribute to the success of the team.
OnFocus: What words of wisdom can you give to other student-athletes?
Gay: “Be your best”
