Marshfield (OnFocus) At 2 pm today, Marshfield Clinic Health System staff were paid tribute by area public safety officers.
Members of local law enforcement, EMS, fire, and rescue personnel paid tribute to the men and women working in the medical profession.
Shawn Becker, Wood County Sheriff said, “They are part of the team, we look across America and our healthcare workers are in the frontlines.”
The parade started on St. Joseph’s Ave, there was a break in the snow for healthcare to step outside and witness the parade. The parade of units circled around the complex two times. Patients and staff could be seen from the windows of the hospital.
Scott Owen, Marshfield Fire and Rescue Chief said, “This is a simple way for us as emergency responders to say thank you to the healthcare professionals especially in Marshfield, as we navigate through this pandemic together. The actions of the staff at the Marshfield Clinic/Marshfield Medical Center are greatly appreciated! Together, we will get Marshfield through this event. Thank You!”
