Colby Hornets Play Against Regis Ramblers

(OnFocus) The Abby County Market is showing its support for the Colby football team as players make their way to Eau Claire tonight for a playoff game against the Regis Ramblers.

Whatever the outcome of the game, the team will have a free meal to enjoy provided by County Market. The deli will put together subs, cookies, and drinks and drop the meals off at the bus this Friday afternoon before the team heads to Eau Claire.

The store has supported local teams this way for many years as a way to give back while celebrating milestones, such as when teams are traveling to playoffs or make it to state.

“We try to do it as much as possible,” said storeowner Dave Hediger. “When the kids succeed, we succeed, and that’s just great for the community.”

County Market also has a personal connection the the Colby football team as it employs three Colby football players: Tyler Klement, Alex Holtz, and Hunter DeVries. The store also supports area teams in Colby, Abbotsford, Dorchester, Unity, and Owen-Withee.

“We love to support our local communities,” Hediger said.

Visit Abby County Market at 206 N. 4th St., Abbotsford.
