OnFocus – The Clark County Health Department (CCHD) is reporting one employee of Abbyland Pork Pack (Curtiss) has tested positive for COVID-19. CCHD is isolating this employee at their home.

Health departments do not release the names of any residents that have tested positive for COVID-19 in efforts to protect their privacy.

A contact tracing investigation was completed. All close contacts of the ill individual have been identified and contacted by their local health department.

Abbyland Pork Pack is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of their employees, by following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations. Due to this new confirmed COVID-19 case, company leadership has reinforced social distancing practices with their employees within the workplace and in their personal lives.

Per the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), “the best way to stay safe is to stay home and limit outings to essential trips only.” The CCHD fully supports this recommendation, and urges Clark County residents to avoid large mass gatherings. “Limiting the chances for physical contact in group settings has proven to be the most effective way to slow the spread of COVID-19,” WI DHS.

The CCHD and their local partners, are working hard to protect Clark County residents. The health and safety of our community members remains our highest priority.
