MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The American Legion Post 54 has had an annual Christmas meal every year for the past 24 years. This year, the event needs an influx of volunteers to make sure it is as successful as past years.
A lot of the volunteers that help with the meal have decided to not participate this year due to the increase in COVID-19 activity leading up to the holiday season.
The group will need help setting up on December 24 at 10 a.m. They will need about eight people to help bag dinner rolls, coleslaw, cranberries and a dessert for about 400 people and work in the kitchen.
They will also need help on Christmas Day beginning at 10 a.m. They will need a variety of volunteers to help in the kitchen, fill carryout bags, and carry out bags to vehicles.
If interested in helping out, contact the American Legion at 715-384-9697 or 715-305-0123.
