Amherst (OnFocus) –  The battle for Athlete of the Week was another barn burner, with three area teams and athletes duking it out for top honors. In the only contest this season in which athletes and teams of the week were combined into one contest, it was a three way competition for the top.

When the dust settled, Amherst’s Tristan Shelvan came away with the honor, receiving 699 votes. Shelvan picked up his second top athlete award of the season.

Second place went to the Edgar Football Defense with 489 votes, and Nekoosa Football was right behind with 449 votes.

Congratulations to all of our fall sports teams and athletes for their accomplishments, and thank you to voters who supported and recognized area athletes and teams.
