RUDOLPH, WI (OnFocus) – On February 12, 2023 the Wood County Sheriff’s Department responded to The Food Tree convenience store located at 1759 Greenfield Avenue in the Township of Rudolph, Wood County for an armed robbery that took place.
At this time, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for assistance in locating a Eugene (AKA “Gene”) K. Schmidt (Age 58) in connection to the armed robbery. Eugene may be armed and should be considered dangerous at this time. Eugene was last known to be in the Marathon County area. If you know the whereabouts of Eugene please contact your local law enforcement immediately and do not approach or try to make contact with him.
“Eugene we know you will read this because you are scared and hiding from law enforcement. Please tum yourself in to local law enforcement and be an adult by facing your consequences for the dangerous actions you took. By not turning yourself in it is likely you will face more criminal charges,” the department stated.
