OnFocus – Marathon County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement today in connection with the homicide death of Christian Schauer:
“On February 10, 2021, we announced the arrests of Jared Carl and Shawn Carl for the homicide death of Christian Schauer. Further investigation has revealed involvement by a third party. On February 22, 2021, 20-year-old Audrey R. Benson of Marshfield was arrested for being party to the crime of First Degree Intentional Homicide. Benson will have an initial appearance tomorrow, February 24, at 2pm.
Due to continued investigation and respect for the family, no other information will be released at this time. – Sheriff Scott R. Parks”
