Voting for the OnFocus Athlete of the Week saw fans rally behind top performances from area athletes, with two athletes garnering the bulk of the support.
Ashland Gymnastics’ Jayce Erickson earned the title of OnFocus Athlete of the Week, January 8 to January 14, collecting 328 votes.
Carter Klabon of Owen-Withee Boys Basketball took second place with 260 votes.
Mosinee Boys Basketball’s Davin Stoffel finished third with 83 votes.

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, January 8 to January 14
- Davin Stoffel, Mosinee Boys Basketball (nominated online)- Stoffel reached the 1000 point career mark this week in a game with Medford, scoring 27 points in a losing effort to the first place Raiders. Stoffel is averaging 18.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.7 steals a game this season.
- Carter Klabon, Owen-Withee Boys Basketball (nominated online)- Klabon is averaging 18.1 points and 8.8 rebounds for the 10-1 Blackhawks. Owen-Withee is 5-0 and alone atop the Cloverbelt East Standings.
- Elly Eiler, Cadot Girls Basketball – Eiler had a game-high 27 points for Cadott in the Hornets’ 78-65 win over Regis. Eiller is averaging 16.4 points and 4.1 assists this season for the 13-1 Hornets, 7-1 in the Cloverbelt West.
- Jaycee Erickson, Ashland Gymnastics – Erickson nearly pulled off a sweep of events for Ashland, taking titles in the Balance Beam, Vault and Floor Exercise, and also claimed the All-Around Title as the Oredockers defeated Antigo and Lakeland in GNC Gymnastics.
- Ayden Phillips, Almond-Bancroft Boys Basketball – Phillips poured in 26 points for the Eagles in A-B’s 62-42 win over Elcho. Phillips is averaging 20.9 points for the 11-2 Eagles this season.
