WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Aspirus has implemented many precautionary measures to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19. For several weeks, Aspirus has been screening everyone who enters its facilities for symptoms of COVID-19.
The CDC’s latest guidance focuses on promoting “source control” and recommends expanded use of face masks in settings outside the home. The CDC’s guidance is intended to help prevent transmission from individuals who do not have symptoms (asymptomatic) or are not yet exhibiting symptoms (pre-symptomatic).
Effective April 23, everyone who enters an Aspirus facility is required to wear a face mask. Cloth face masks are acceptable. Patients and visitors who have their own face mask are asked to wear it. Those who do not have a face mask will be provided one.
Aspirus continues to accept and appreciate donations of homemade cloth face masks. In the Wisconsin Rapids area, face masks may be dropped off with the screening staff at the main entrances of Aspirus Riverview Hospital and Aspirus Doctors Clinic.
