Assumption led 5-1 at halftime before Adams-Friendship roared back to make it close, before the Royals escaped with a 6-5 win.
“Huge conference win tonight, and we were able to hold off the second half attack of A-F for the win,” said Royals’ Head Coach Jim Wendels. “Some key saves in goal combined with some midfield stands kept A-F at bay.
Addi Vollert had three goals to lead the Royals.
“The girls were so happy with the win and they really earned it tonight. Addi Vollert had a hat trick tonight to keep us on the positive side of the scoreboard. Our defense is continuing to step up and deliver,” added Wendels.
