Voters were proud to show their support for top performers in our area, with all voters collecting over 100 votes!
Evin Passehl of Athens Football collected 431 votes to earn the title of OnFocus Athlete of the Week, August 27 – September 2.
Pittsville Footballś Jake Hardinger took second place with 356 votes.
In third place was the tandem of Leyton Schuett and Teegan Streit of Edgar, collecting 300 votes.
Lily Shields of Newman Catholic was 4th(237 votes) and Brynden Beck of Port Edwards Football took 5th with 139 votes.

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, August 27 – September 2
- Leyton Schuett/Teegan Streit, Edgar Football – Streit completed 6 of 7 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns and Schuett had 43 and 59 yard touchdown receptions as Edgar clobbered Pacelli, 50-0 in nonconference football.
- Brynden Beck, Port Edwards Football – Beck rushed for 143 yards on just 5 carries, with touchdown runs of 16, 75 and 66 yards as Port Edwards thumped Niagara 58-2 in 8-Player Football.
- Jake Hardinger, Pittsville Football – Hardinger was a perfect 5 of 5 for 165 yards, and two touchdown passes of 42 and 51 yards, as Pittsville moved to 3-0 on the season with a 60-16 dumping of Assumption.
- Lily Shields, Newman Catholic Volleyball(nominated online) – Shields has a been a force for Newman, which is off to 8-4 this season after battling top opponents in nonconference action.
- Evin Passehl, Athens Football (nominated online) – Passehl returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score and added a 15 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to end the game’s scoring, as the Bluejays walloped Lake Holcombe 30-0.
