AUBURNDALE – Marathon scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning and pulled past Auburndale for a 6-3 win in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Thursday at Auburndale High School.
Marathon remains in a tie with Stratford on top of the Marawood South standings at 4-0 (5-0 overall) with the victory. Auburndale falls to 3-3 and 2-2 in the Marawood South.
Cooper Weinfurter, Trayton Weister and Colton Wright each had two hits for Auburndale.
Auburndale hosts Edgar on Tuesday.
