PARK FALLS – The Auburndale girls basketball team won its second game in a row, blowing past Chequamegon 69-36 in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday night at Chequamegon High School.
Auburndale dominated the first half, cruising out to a 35-11 lead by the break, and held on from there for the 33-point win.
Auburndale is now 7-9 overall and 4-7 in the Marawood South, while Chequamegon drops to 3-12 and 1-10 in the Marawood North.
Natalie Aue had 16 points, Marissa Ponshock added 12 points, and Kaitlyn Kundinger had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Apaches.
Auburndale returns to action Monday with a nonconference game at Pittsville.
