OnFocus – A sunflower field at Auburndale School Forest raised $3,000 for the “Toys For Tots” program. Admission was free, but a donation was requested.
More than 2,000 visitors explored the field, which was abloom with 90,000 sunflowers. The school hopes to host the sunflower field again next year. Visitors can welcome to check out #auburndalesunflowers on Facebook to see photos from this year and add their own.
Currently, visitors can explore the school forest’s corn maze and other fall fun, located at 10704 Park Ave.
“The maze will be open to the public until Halloween,” said Mark Cournoyer, coordinator. “Come see our minions welcoming you to the maze!”
