Auburndale Boys Basketball’s Caden Weinfurter collected 401 votes to earn the title of OnFocus Athlete of the Week, February 26 to March 4.
Second place was picked up by Kyla Krause of Medford Gymnastics with 326 votes.
Keagen Jirschele of Mosinee Boys Baseball finished third with 230 votes.

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, February 26 to March 4
- Mason Prey/Isaac Seidel, Newman Catholic Boys Basketball – Prey had 25 points and Seidel added 18 points as the Cardinals surged past Columbus in the second half for a 73-53 regional final win Saturday night. Newman advances to play Pacelli in a sectional semifinal Thursday evening.
- Cam Schurk, Pacelli Boys Basketball – Schurk had 18 points in Pacelli’s 68-29 win over Marion in a regional semifinal and then scored 21 points in the Cardinals’ 66-45 win over Port Edwards in the regional final Saturday.
- Kyla Krause, Medford Gymnastics – Krause excelled on the vault for the Raiders on Saturday, taking 7th place at the WIAA State Gymnastics Meet in Wisconsin Rapids.
- Keagen Jirschele, Mosinee Boys Basketball – Jirschele was instrumental in a pair of wins for Mosinee in regional action. The junior guard scored 10 points while hitting one 3, dishing out 10 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in a 79-47 win over Merrill on Friday. Jirschele then had 19 points while making 7-11 from the free throw line, 8 assists, 7 boards, and 2 steals as Mosinee defeated Shawano in a regional final Saturday evening, 77-65.
- Caden Weinfurter, Auburndale Boys Basketball – Weinfurter came up big for the Eagles Saturday night, scoring 27 points as the Eagles downed Weyauwega-Fremont 68-48, to earn a ticket to sectionals.
