OnFocus: What sports did you play in high school?

Football Basketball Baseball

OnFocus: How do amateur sports benefit students, parents, and the community?

Geist: I believe amateur sports are an amazing opportunity not only for students who are good athletes, but they also give students a chance to try something out of their comfort zone. They bring students, parents, and families together.

OnFocus: How have you been involved in sports in your adult life?

Geist:  I have been a baseball coach since I graduated high school in 2005. I enjoy coaching baseball and watching players get better everyday. 

 OnFocus:  What do you enjoy about your involvement in athletics?

Geist:  The improvement of athletes and seeing students succeed, whether they win or lose. 

OnFocus: If there could only be one concession food in the world, what would you want it to be?

Geist:  Loaded Nachos 

OnFocus: What would you do with the money if you won 10 millions dollars in the lottery?

Geist:  Give some to my family, donate some to the school and community build a dome baseball field so we don’t have any rainouts. 

OnFocus: Is there something most people don’t know about you?

Geist:  I had surgery on my foot when I was in 7th grade because I had an extra bone in my ankle happens to 1 out of Million people. 

OnFocus: What job did you want when you were growing up?

Geist:  Teacher so I could coach baseball 

OnFocus: What do you most enjoy watching on television?

Geist: Sports

OnFocus: Who was an influential coach that has made a difference in your life?

Geist: Randy Gustafson and Joe Hebert they pushed me to always get better and not settle for just being average also taught me what took to be a positive leader 

OnFocus: How do you unwind and enjoy your free time?

Geist:  Watching sports or hanging with my 2 year old son and my wife 

OnFocus: What would be an appropriate Super Hero nickname for you, and what would your powers be?

Geist:  Captain Recall as I can retain a lot information especially when it comes to sports

OnFocus: Who are your favorite athletes?

Geist:  Tony Gwynn and Michael Jordan 

OnFocus: Who is your role model(s)?

Geist:My Dad
