STRATFORD – Riley Bauman knocked in Kade Ehrike with the game’s only run with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Stratford a 1-0 win over Nekoosa in a WIAA Division 3 baseball regional quarterfinal on Thursday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field.

Stratford (16-2) will host Stevens Point Pacelli (19-7) in a Division 3 regional semifinal Tuesday at 4:45 p.m.

Pitching was the name of the game Thursday as both teams had only two hits each before the game-winning single by Bauman.

Lance Heidmann threw a complete-game two-hit shutout for the Tigers, striking out four without walking a batter.

Max Boivin suffered the loss for Nekoosa (2-16), striking out six.
