OnFocus (Marshfield, WI) At 12:24 pm on Friday, the Marshfield School District announced the early dismissal of the High School.
The Superintendent of the Marshfield School District, Ryan Christianson, shared communication to all parents that the administration was made aware of some messages in two separate girl’s bathrooms.
Several Marshfield Police Officers were surrounding the school during the dismissal. The messages found referenced a bomb at 1:00pm. The administration is working with the Marshfield Police Department to investigate the identified threat.
Administration indicated while they don’t believe the threat was credible, an early dismissal was conducted at the high school out of an abundance of caution.
Students were instructed to use their normal means of dismissal and that all student pick ups were to be conducted at Madison Elementary.
The incident remains under investigation.
