Boys and Girls Hockey Playoff Brackets Announced

The WIAA has released the 2022 Boys and Girls Hockey Brackets for all Divisions. Action gets underway on Tuesday, February 15 with first round Regional games.

BOYS HOCKEY

Area teams and their matchups:

  • #9 DCE at #8 Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln (Winner travels to #1 Hudson)
  • #12 Barron co-op at #5 SPASH
  • # 13 Merrill co-op at #4 Wausau West
    • Winners of above two games square off in  second round)
  • #6 Pacelli at #3 Mosinee
  • #6 Medford/Rib Lake at #3 Amery co-op
  • #5 Marshfield at #4 Hayward

GIRLS HOCKEY

  • #7 Medford/Rib Lake at #2 Hayward co-op
  • #5 Marshfield co-op at #4 Northland Pines co-op
    • winner of above game travels to #1 DC Everest co-op

Sectional Finals are Friday, February 25 or Saturday, February 26. The State Tournament pairings will be determined by coach seeding of the four participating teams in each division. The 2022 WIAA Boys and Girls Hockey State Tournament is set for March 3-5 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
