Madison (OnFocus) – The Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Gophers will not be competing this season for Paul Bunyan’s Axed, as the Big Ten announced today that Saturday’s matchup has been cancelled. Minnesota is dealing with a significant number of athletes and coaches in the program with COVID-19.
Minnesota announced Tuesday evening that 9 student-athletes and six coaches have tested positive in the last five days.
The game will be recorded as a no-contest.
