WISCONSIN – Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre shared a photo on September 14 with David Beamer, father of Todd Beamer. Todd is one of the heroes from United #93 on 9/11, one of the passengers who helped prevent hijackers from crashing their plane into the nation’s capitol.
Favre and David golfed together on September 11, the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Favre wrote: “Honored to meet and play golf with David Beamer, father of Todd, one of the heroes on United #93 on 9/11.”
The comments were flooded with messages of thanks for Todd’s bravery and sacrifice.
“Thank you Mr Beamer for instilling the courage and grit in your son that no doubt saved countless lives,” one visitor wrote.
“Todd is an inspiration to us all and I’m glad to see you taking the time to spend it with his father. Thank you Brett!” said another.
