MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Thrivent Member Network South Wisconsin Region invites the community to spread holiday cheer and make a meaningful impact through their Carols for a Cause event, happening December 8-14, 2024. This festive online initiative combines the magic of music with the spirit of giving, offering organizations the chance to receive significant financial blessings based on community votes.
In celebration of their upcoming holiday concert with renowned artist Steven Curtis Chapman, Thrivent is encouraging everyone to vote for their favorite carol performed by local organizations. Each vote helps these organizations secure funding to continue their impactful work in the community.
Participating Organizations:
- GiGi’s Playhouse Madison (Madison) | “Jingle Bells”
- Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (Madison) | “O Christmas Tree”
- Never Forgotten Honor Flight (Wausau) | “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”
- YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee | “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”
- WAFER Food Pantry (La Crosse) | “12 Days of Christmas”
Prizes for Participating Organizations:
- 1st Place: $15,000
- 2nd Place: $12,500
- 3rd Place: $10,000
- 4th Place: $7,500
- 5th Place: $5,000
How You Can Help:
Support the Never Forgotten Honor Flight by casting your vote for their touching rendition of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” This organization honors veterans by providing them with free trips to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifices. Your vote could help them secure the $15,000 prize to continue their mission.
