MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield’s newest restaurant, Casa Amigos 2, announced that it would be opening its doors to the public on Monday, Feb. 7.
The restaurant is located on the corner of Central Ave. and Veterans Pkwy at the old Hudson’s Classic Grill building. They will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday and have dine in or take out options.
Owners Yareldi and Ramon Gutierrez opened their first Casa Amigos restaurant in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in September of 2020. Their first restaurant was opened in Merrill but they said they considered beginning their business in Marshfield in fall of 2020.
“We have always had big interest in a Marshfield location,” Yareldi said. “We actually went to go look in Marshfield before we opened in Merrill but that didn’t go through. We went back and found this location and decided it would be perfect.”
The restaurant will offer bar seating, restaurant seating and outdoor seating and has an authentic Mexican menu.
Yareldi and Ramon had originally planned to open in October but an inspection held up the crew from opening on schedule.
“We are very excited to open,” Yareldi said in a July interview. “We are looking forward to it!”
