Castleberg Nets Six Goals, SPASH Garners First Win of Season
The SPASH Girls soccer team recorded its first victory of the season with a 7-0 victory over the host Shawano Hawks.
Amelia Castleberg scored six goals to pace the Panthers with Jenna Jones adding a single and three assists. Isabelle Stevens added two assists and Emi Ciseski and Anna Barden each added an assist.
Sophia Smith stopped 8 shots for SPASH who outshot the Hawks 26-8.
“It was nice to score some goals today as that has been a struggle for us. While we scored some nice goals, we need to be more efficient with our opportunities and continue to involve others in the attack.”
SPASH (1-3) is back in action on Tuesday when they play host to #8 ranked Bay Port at 7:30pm at Goerke Field.
