Centergy Hosts Central Wisconsin Days
OnFocus – (Wausau, Wisconsin) – Centergy, the regional economic development alliance for Central Wisconsin, is pleased to announce hosting of the 12th Annual Central Wisconsin Days, March 21 and 22, in Madison. Business and community leaders converge on the capital city to share with lawmakers the issues most important to Central Wisconsin.
Centergy’s mission is to promote the region, retain and attract thriving businesses, align regional talent development resources and initiatives, and support innovation and entrepreneurship to inspire continuous improvement in our region’s economic vitality.
“Central Wisconsin has a compelling story to share, and we welcome the opportunity to promote our issues to policymakers in Madison,” says Centergy Board President Pat Wesenberg, CEO at Simplicity Credit Union.
Centergy is not a registered lobbying organization, but they do communicate issues of regional significance and suggest concepts to improve the business climate.
Central Wisconsin Days is organized each year to provide an opportunity for regional leaders in business, education, and municipalities throughout Central Wisconsin to travel to Madison to build relationships by meeting with elected officials, department/cabinet leaders and the Governor’s office.
