Voting for the Top performer in central Wisconsin saw three area athletes rise to the top.
Taking the title of OnFocus Athlete of the Week, January 15 to January 21, with 432 votes, was Claire Calmes of Central Wisconsin Storm Girls Hockey.
Second place went to Logan Baumgartner of Medford Boys Basketball with 298 votes.
Collecting 296 votes and earning third place was Ashlyn Grimm of Auburndale Girls Basketball.

- Claire Calmes, Central WI Storm Hockey – Calmes has surrendered just 5 goals in 13 games this season, and is sporting Wisconsin’s second best save % at .960. The Storm are ranked #2 in the latest WI Prep Hockey Rankings.
- Isaiah Deitz, Chequamegon Boys Basketball (nominated online) – Deitz is leading the Marawood Conference North in points per game(23.6) and assists(6) and is third in rebounds per game(8.9)
- Brayden Sonnentag, Cadott Boys Wrestling – Sonnentag is ranked #1 at 132 pounds by FloWrestling,
- Ashlyn Grimm, Auburndale Girls Basketball – Grimm scored a season-high 32 points in Auburndale’s 81-28 drubbing of Rib Lake. Grimm connected on five three-pointers in the win. She is averaging 12.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game for the Eagles.
- Logan Baumgartner, Medford Boys Basketball – Baumgartner became Medford’s all-time leading scorer this week. Baumgartner is averaging 20.4 points per game(1st) and 6.6 rebounds per game in Great Northern Conference play this season.
