Incident still under investigation
Update: Authorities confirmed a male child has died.
OnFocus – At 6:51am Monday, a call came into Wood County Dispatch about a child that was reportedly injured near County Highway Y and North Road in Auburndale.
It is unclear at this time how the child was injured, but early reports indicate school bus involvement. Auburndale First Responders and Marshfield Fire and Rescue are responding to the incident.
County Road Y was closed between North Road and Poplar Drive and drivers were advised to avoid the area.
At this time, emergency personnel including the Wisconsin State Patrol are reconstructing the scene of the accident.
