Unity of Support for Local Heroes
Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) This morning, families from Cornerstone Community Church, North Ridge Church, and Faith Fellowship in Marshfield displayed handmade signs showcasing words of support for medical workers driving by on their morning commute to the clinic and hospital.
Matt Korth, who serves as Pastor of Youth & Family at Cornerstone, lives near the hospital. This past week, he and his family created signs and held them up to show support for the medical workers as they drove into work. After learning of the gesture, Pastor Preston Tippen from North Ridge Church reached out to Korth to see if they could arrange for the three churches on McMillan Avenue to collaborate in a similar gesture of support. Faith Fellowship Pastor Larry Sheahan and family, along with some congregation members also joined.
“We wanted to combine the unity of the churches to spread some joy and show our support for the medical community,” said Korth.
Drivers on McMillan waved and honked to the families, who were maintaining social distancing.
