MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The City of Marshfield will accept sealed bids for the sale of ash tree logs until 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022 at City Hall, 207 West 6th Street, Marshfield, Wisconsin.
The said bids will be opened immediately thereafter and publicly read in the Public Conference Room. The ash trees are being removed to protect against the invasive species, the Emerald Ash Borer. City Forester Mark Ryskiewicz said the City will be replacing the trees with diverse species of trees.
The ash tree logs are located in several piles within Braem Park north of Grant Street and east of the ball diamond. Bids will be on a “per pile” basis and the logs must be removed by Monday, March 7, 2022. Cutting of logs in the park will not be allowed. Conditions of the sale and bid form may be obtained from City Hall or the Street Division.
