(OnFocus) In response to COVID-19, the City of Marshfield is moving to cancel its upcoming committee meetings.

“After this week, our current plan is to cancel Council and all committee meetings until further notice,” stated Steve Barg, City Administrator.

The City is planning to move the Common Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 to this Thursday, March 19, provided a quorum can be reached.

On the calendar for this week is the Board of Public Works meeting on Monday and the Plan Commission and Library Board meetings on Tuesday.

On Monday, Gov. Evers directed the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to ban mass gatherings of 50 people or more, starting March 17 at 12:01 a.m., to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.
