Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) The Board of Public Works voted to award the bid for the asphalt paving projects in 2019 at its Monday meeting, April 15.
Overlay and mill-in-place projects are to be completed this year. The asphalt paving program budget is $1,920,000, with an additional $365,000 from unspent 2018 funds and a Wastewater Utility contribution of $65,000, for a total budget of $2,330,000 with 5% for contingency. The bid also includes $140,000 in citywide asphalt patching.
The city was able to advance several projects into 2019 because of favorable bid prices, the Wastewater and unspent 2018 funds.
These projects are:
24th Street – Hume Avenue to the cul-de-sac
28th Street – Washington Avenue to Butternut Parkway
Adler Road – State Street to 650’ west
Fillmore Street – Weber Avenue to Willow Avenue
Weber Avenue – Fillmore Street to Becker Road
