GRANTON – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic scored nine runs in the second inning and went on to a 12-2 win over Granton on Friday at Granton High School.
With the win, the Dons even their Cloverbelt Conference East Division record at 6-6 and improve to 6-9 overall. Granton remains winless at 0-15 overall and 0-13 in the conference.
Four Columbus pitchers combined on a three-hitter.
Cole Noreen had three hits and scored twice, Austin Grubofski had two hits and two runs scored, and Xane Adler and Brock Bennington each had two RBIs for the Dons.
Columbus Catholic hosts Gilman on Monday at Jack Hackman Field beginning at 5 p.m.
