Columbus Catholic Battles at Diocesan Tournament

The dons went 2-3 at the annual diocesan tournament.   “It was a great day of volleyball with fierce competition.  The girls grew so much as a team playing at this high level.  All the teams there are ranked in the state.  We are playing so well together”  Coach Egle

Won Newman Catholic 25-19, 25-22
Lost Mcdonell Central 25-21, 23-25, 13-15
Won Pacellit 25-22, 25-17
Lost Regis  25-20, 25-27, 10-15
Lost Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran 25-20, 25-10
Shelby Spata led the team with 46 kills, 40 digs, 9 blocks and 6 aces
Aubrey Waldhauser had 23 kills and 8 blocks
Gracie Wilczek had 16 kills, 32 digs and 8 aces
Abby Kibbel had 8 kills and 8 blocks
Alayna Egle had 44 assists, 8 kills and 14 digs
Sophie Wilczek had 43 assists, 9 aces and 10 digs
Delia Trader led with 61 digs.
