Columbus Catholic boys basketball beats Loyal, clinches fourth-straight Cloverbelt East title

LOYAL – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team wrapped up its fourth-straight Cloverbelt Conference East Division championship by wining on the road over Loyal on Friday night, 65-31.

The Dons improve to 19-1 overall and remain perfect at 15-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Columbus wraps up its conference schedule at home Monday against Neillsville, which is in second place in the conference at 12-2.

Noah Taylor had 19 points, Jarred Mandel added 18 points, and Bryce Fuerlinger chipped in 14 for the Dons.

Trevyn Wilke led Loyal (9-11, 9-6 Cloverbelt East) with 11 points.
