STEVENS POINT – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team finished off an unbeaten Central Wisconsin Conference season with a 7-1 rout of Stevens Point Pacelli on Friday at the Portage County Youth Soccer Complex.
The Dons finish the regular season 13-4-1 overall and 11-0-1 in the Central Wisconsin Conference as they captured the conference crown for the second year in a row.
Nadim Torbey scored four times and the Dons were the beneficiary of two Pacelli own goals in the victory.
Tom Nystrom scored the first goal for Columbus 16:10 in the game. Torbey added another goal just 4 minutes later and the Dons built a 4-0 lead by halftime.
Torbey added two goals in the second half to help the Dons build a 7-0 lead.
Kellen Heinzen and Wyatt Drexler each had one save in goal for Columbus.
Columbus Catholic will learn its first-round opponent in the upcoming WIAA playoffs this weekend.
